Jodhpur Flying Club
JODHPUR FLYING CLUB

Maharaja Umaid Singh (r.1918-1947) was the first Indian ruler to be awarded a pilot’s license from the RAF (Royal Air Force) and developed a lifelong love of flying. In 1931 he created the Jodhpur Flying Club, which played a pivotal role in the development of international air travel. And, in WWII, His Highness won the gratitude of all Britain by donating planes to the war effort and offering endless hospitality to the large numbers of RAF personnel stationed in Jodhpur. The Jodhpur Flying Club Collection features fine reproductions of some of Maharaja Umaid Singh’s most treasured JFC personal mementos, as well as exclusive products inspired by this grand legacy.
